    As an Accounts Receivable Senior Accountant you will be responsible for overseeing a team of 10-12 individuals on a daily basis. Our ideal candidate will have a successful track record in back office support and previous experience in AR billing procedures and practices  In addition, the candidate must possess strong organizational and communication skills. The candidate must have previous leadership experience with a proven track record and the ability to ensure that his/her team is successful in achieving set fourth goals. 

    Responsibilities

    • Project Management: Interview and hire new team members. Managing multi-functionality of team. Managing duties of FTL, LTL, Cold Chain and Parcel.  Conduct and organize team meetings.
    • Responsible to generate results, team goals and address performance issues.  Manage KPI’s weekly.  
    • Communication:  The ability to have crucial conversations with team members. 
    • Leadership: the ability to identify potential leaders within the business workgroup. Lead, mentor and train team members. 
    • Conduct weekly 1:1 coaching/development sessions.
    • Manage monthly scorecards and bonus metrics for team
    • Identify areas of opportunity for the group and create implementation strategies for streamlining work processes and creating efficiencies.
    • Foster positive work environment and inter-department relationships.
    • Budget planning and forecasting.

    Qualifications

    • Proven leadership track record
    • Bachelor’s degree or two years of management experience.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills required.
    • Two years of relevant industry experience preferred.
    • 3+ years experience in AR billing
    • Intermediate level skills in MS Office; Transportation industry experience.
    • The ability to work in a fast pace environment with rapidly changing priorities.
    • Ability to create best practices and enact proper change
    • Ability to be held extremely accountable and meet and surpass set fourth expectations.
