  • Overview

    The Fuel Sales Assistant participates in sales efforts to grow the England Carrier Services (ECS) division. The main focus of this position will be to assist Account Managers consult with clients regarding their fuel purchasing habits and help retain clients.   The Fuel Sales Assistant works directly with important vendor relationships including fuel vendors and fuel card providers across the country. The Fuel Sales Assistant is also required to cross-sell other ECS products and assist clients with everyday questions, resolve problems and maintain customer relationships.


     The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

    • Strengthen customer relationships under the direction of the Account Manager
    • Increase sales with existing clients by improving retention and margin per order by pushing them in-network
    • Strategically work with customers to maximize their savings and purchasing patterns
    • Create annual plan with monthly and weekly goals
    • Coordinate with Account Manager to ensure that accounts are current
    • Prepare and coordinate required reporting documentation
    • Proactively manage exceptions and provide solutions
    • Communicate information timely and accurately


    The required qualifications for this position include but are not limited to:


    • Have a strong background in sales and customer service
    • Have a proven sales background, documented success and are not afraid of monthly quotas
    • Experience managing customers
    • Operations management and experience
    • Candidates must be aggressive, organized and effective under pressure
    • Competitive personality
    • Growth and sales oriented
    • Strong Customer service skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to be successful in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
    • Problem solving and analytical skills
    • Attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to multi-task in a windows based environment
    • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
