  • Overview

    The LTL Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of all England Logistics’ LTL systems.  This person should have the skills and knowledge required to understand all technical components of each system, as well as their interface with other systems, so as to take responsibility for all components of the systems.  A qualified candidate will be able to gather pertinent rate and tariff information and format it to be integrated into the TMS though above average skills in Excel.  This person will also be responsible for smooth transitions between systems, including data migrations and complete system transitions. A qualified candidate will actively work toward resolution of problem tickets from EL’s internal ticketing system and maintain positive interactions in all customer service settings.  The qualified candidate should have an eye for processes and process improvements and an ability to interact with internal EL divisions, as well as outside contractors. 


    The primary job functions will include the following:

    Data Maintenance

    • Monitor carrier Rules Tariffs and pricing tariff agreements for changes and update TMS accordingly
    • Create, configure, and format pricing files for upload in TMS
    • Facilitate vendor and carrier onboarding for new company and new user set up
    • Order tariffs
    • Update Diesel Fuel rates
    • Load credentials into API
    • Load and assign markup tariffs
    • Validate carrier credentials

    Systems Management

    • Maintain key data elements through configuring the TMS
    • Analyzing weaknesses and creating solutions within the TMS process and functionality
    • Cross-functional development of new processes, SOP documentation, system testing, user acceptance testing and end user training
    • Ability to create formulas and pivot tables in Excel to identify changes in data
    • Test new system enhancements

    Customer Service

    • Respond to problem ticket issues for TMS performance and pricing issues
    • Interpret API technical release notes for LTL team
    • Handle escalation of carrier invoice disputes where standard evaluation processes fail to discover the reason for an invoice discrepancy

    Process Improvement

    • Lead and participate in process improvement projects that support business initiatives
    • Maintain key data elements through configuring the TMS
