  • Overview

    Responsible for the identification, development and signing of profitable new business and corresponding on-going account maintenance.  Primary responsibility is to drive new business development & revenue growth.  Responsible for leading the consultative, strategic, customer focused selling of managed transportation products and services in a team environment.  Coordinates complete sales cycle process including prospect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, RFQs, pricing, proposal preparation and presentation(s), contract structure, start-up and customer service follow-up. 

     

    Overview:

    • Consultative Sales/Business Development (3 to 5 yrs minimum)
    • LTL or TL Sales Background (3PL industry experience a plus)
    • Experience selling value added solutions a plus
    • Sales and integration of Technological Systems (TMS)
    • Develop sales strategies/execute business plan
    • Computer literate (Office 2000 suite, Power Point, Word, Excel)
    • Residence:  Livonia, MI
    • Travel:  Up to 50%
    • Education: 4 year Bachelor’s degree

    Responsibilities

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Management or related field
    • 3 to 5  years of business development experience transportation/logistics 
    • Experience in Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Transportation Management sales role a plus
    • In-depth working knowledge and understanding of Transportation Operations  
    • High level of TMS/Systems knowledge
    • Business Development Acumen
    • Transportation Project Management            
    • Network Modeling knowledge a plus
