    A Finance Manager should be able to lead a team of Financial Analysts in ensuring the accuracy of the P&L, understand current business trends to appropriately budget/forecast, and take the lead on instilling a culture of hard work, accountability, and celebration. The manager should be able to identify operational inefficiencies and put a plan of action together to resolve the issue. Above all, the manager should be able to motivate and develop their employees in a way that will provide immediate results, as well as, results for their future career.

     

    In addition, the Finance Manager will consistently demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem solving skills, possess strong organizational skills, provide exceptional customer service to both external and internal customers, and be a complete team player by being ambitious in helping the team succeed and in celebrating other team member’s successes.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop strong relationships with directors, VP’s, and other coworkers (Doesn’t have to be personal relationships)
    • Accurate interpretation of P&L results to key stakeholders – with the ability to explain any seasonal/market trends, as well as, understanding vendor payment trends
    • Ability to give recommendations and proven track record of accepted recommendations
    • Independently complete close within timeline and manage teams closing progress
    • Manage forecasting and budgeting process within in a timely manner with accurate results
    • Coach and mentor employees in a way that will foster continuous career growth
    • Continuous improvement in position metrics, demonstrating personal accountability and ability to be coached.
    • Continuous improvement in customer service scores, as defined by the position.
    • Recognized as having a positive attitude and business owner mentality within the team.
    • Understanding and ownership of COACH Team attributes.
    • Effective performance of all other duties, as assigned.
    • Directors coming to you for answers/projects
    • Team completion of 3 period rolling forecast
    • Management of annual budgeting process within scheduled timelines
    • Delegate projects to team and manage to completion
    • Consistent review and application of employee career development plans/goals
    • Daily review of close checklist during the close process to ensure timely completion
    • Period presentation of Finance Deck to Executive team
    • Weekly one-on-one’s with FA’s to review current performance
    • Quarterly review with Division Heads to understand satisfaction with FA’s and identify potential focus for next quarter
    • Complete all other daily/weekly/Period tasks on time
    • Positive and proactive approach and effort in performing assigned tasks.
    • Consistently show ability to hit performance targets and find operational efficiencies.
    • Excel, Cube, McLeod, GP, Qlikview, Divisional Systems, Concur
    • SWOT Analysis and gap assessment to help with personal development.
    • Learning and Development team – ELevation, career development plans, and other developmental programs available.
    • Admin Weekly Leadership Training
